How often do you work?
I work Mon-Fri (never weekends) and only work school hours. On average I work 3-4 hours per day, a total of approx. 20 hours per week. I stick to a strict Daily Method of Operation to keep on track and to achieve the level of activity each day that is required to make my business a success. The system we use is very easy to follow - virtually anyone can duplicate it.
How does the job fit around your family life?
I work 100% around my family. I usually only work school hours when Tommy is having his daytime naps and only work of an evening if I need to make some overseas phone calls or want to listen to some training calls, respond to emails or do some research for my marketing plan. I am always there for school drop off and pick up and am involved in all of the children's after school activities.
How much time do you commit?
I commit 3-4 hours per day , approx. 20 hours per week. If I do less some days, I pick up on what I missed out on the next day. It is truly so flexible and I have total control over the number of hours I do and don't work. You must remained disciplined, motivated and focused on your goals and if you stick to the system success follows. It is very simple and full support and training is provided.
Where do you carry out your work?
I mostly work from our home office but have been known to do some work at the park, by the pool during swimming lessons or at play group. The best thing about the business is that it requires only my laptop, phone and internet connection so it is completely portable. Recently when we were on holidays my business came with us and it didn't miss a beat.
Do you need a car?
No a car is not needed as you can work 100% from home.
Do you get support/training?
Yes you receive all the support and training that is required to get your business up and running and you then have access to ongoing training and support from your mentor and the wider community for as long as you work with the business.
Would you recommend this opportunity to other mums?
Absolutely. It is the best feeling to be able to balance work and family life and to be successful at both. To be able to create something that I am proud of is very special. I look forward to each new day and am forever learning and developing myself professionally and personally. It is amazing what we mums are capable of and I urge everyone to consider the opportunity & live your dream life.
Do you advertise?
Yes the majority of our job is marketing and advertising the business opportunity. We use all sorts of advertising from job boards, classifield sites, social media, banners, newspapers, flyers etc. You receive full training and support with your marketing campaign as well as branding, websites, domain names etc. I had no advertising experience when I started and it was so interesting to learn.
Are there any downsides to the role?
Not that I can think of. It has been life changing for myself and my family and I now could not ever think of going back to a traditional "job" working for someone else. You do need to remain motivated and focused with clear goals of what you wish to achieve but that comes down to the individual and when you are running your own company you have a responsibility to yourself to make it a success!
