Volunteers are extremely valuable to our charity, helping us deliver vital work to vulnerable women & their families. Volunteering is a great way to gain new skills & allows individuals to help within their community assisting in service provision by contributing their differing skills, experiences & expertise working as volunteers. We aim to help volunteers meet new people, increase self-esteem and confidence while gaining experience of working in a professional environment. Key volunteering roles are:

  • Refuge Support (Adults/Children) Work alongside refuge workers to provide supportive 1 to 1 service to clients
  • Mentors - helping service users be in control of their own lives
  • Befrienders - Supporting older tenant to live independenlty
  • Office Support
