Your time can make a big difference for children. Volunteer for ChildLine in Nottingham. We believe every child has the right to be happy and safe. So when a child feels there’s nowhere else to turn, they can talk to us.

We can't answer every call and urgently need more volunteers –- can you help us change this?

No previous experience of counselling or working with children is needed, as full training and support is provided and you will gain worthwhile communication skills and experience of working in a team environment.

So if you’re a great listener and have a genuine passion for helping children, then please get in touch as this is the kind of role where you could make a big difference to the lives of children and young people.

We are seeking volunteers who can commit to 50 hours of initial training and mentoring. Following this, volunteers need to be able to commit to a 4¼ hr weekly shift at the same time each week, for a minimum of 40 weeks a year

This is an unpaid voluntary role, however full travelling expenses will be covered.

We are looking for volunteers who can spare 4 1/4 hours a week to volunteer on our helpline. If you are a good listener, non judgmental and passionate about helping children and young people, please get in touch.
