Art Against Knives
ART AGAINST KNIVES are looking for people with a range of experience, skills & backgrounds who share our vision & ambitions and have:
Experience of working with/in the public sector/government agencies in London (Local authority, health, police, public policy role)
Experience of working within the local grassroots sector, criminal justice system, violence against women/girls, serious youth violence. Skills/knowledge in fundraising, CSR, charity governance, organisational development, voluntary sector management, public relations, marketing.
Background of lived experience of the issues we're tackling, of the diverse communities our young people come from, close in age to the young people we support (18-30), lived experience of disabilities (mental health/chronic health conditions)
Trustees serve a term of 2 years and may serve up to 2 terms in total. Board meets 5 times a year, preparing for meetings takes 1-2 hours and meetings typically last 2 hours. Meetings take place in Central London and are orgainsed for the year ahead. Trustees are expected to serve on 1 subcommittee which meet 4-6 times a year. These meetings can be both day or evening.
