Best suited to:
I am looking for PRINCE2 certified ladies who have had a corporate career and at least 2 years experience working as a Project Manager. You may already run your own business and be looking for some extra hours or more variety. You need to live within a 45/60 minute radius of Hitchin, Herts.
Location: Stevenage, Herts
Family: Husband and 2 children, 7 and 9 years old.
How often do you work?
I work 5 days a week.
How does the job fit around your family life?
I am clear and upfront about the hours that I can work for a client which is based on my 'mum' commitments. I share this both with Wendy and the clients at the outset so they know what to expect and when.
How much time do you commit?
It depends on the needs of the client, so it varies from no hours to 5 hours a week, though I have my own clients too so this works well for me.
Where do you carry out your work?
At home though sometimes I work with Wendy in the office in Hitchin.
Do you need a car?
Do you get support/training?
Yes Wendy is very supportive and we upskill each other on the job which works so much better than going on a workshop.
Would you recommend this opportunity to other mums?
Wendy is a great person to work for, she is supportive, she understands what my best skills are and makes sure the clients are matched to those. I would definitely say I have had more opportunity since working with Wendy to stretch myself and use skills that I haven't used since working in corporate.
Do you advertise?
Are there any downsides to the role?
No though some weeks there may be no work depending on how many clients you manage.
