We currently have opportunities for you to join our registered care teams in Drayton and Milton, Portsmouth.
You will be supporting people with profound and multiple Learning disabilities who may also have additional health needs, experience sensory loss or have physical disabilities.
At Affinity Trust all of the people we support have a learning disability but many have associated health needs, dementia, physical disabilities, profound and multiple learning disability, mental health needs or behaviours that may challenge.
As part of your role you will be supporting people with full and sometimes intimate personal care, so we are looking for people who are able to demonstrate dignity and respect for the individuals they are supporting, whilst promoting independence and ensuring that people are central to their support planning and empowered to achieve their goals.
Previous support experience is an advantage, but we believe that if you have the right values and genuine desire to want to support people to become as independent as they want then we can offer you the training and support to make this your new career.
You will need to work flexibly and participate in shift work, including weekends and bank holidays. You may also be required to undertake some sleep in shifts as part of your rota for which we pay an additional amount per sleep in.
This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check which will be provided by Affinity Trust.
Full time, part time & bank (work the hours you choose)
Up to £20,000 per year. £8.55 p/h basic salary + additional payments for sleep ins and enhanced bank holiday rate.
