KIDS is a national charity which has been supporting disabled children, young people and their families since 1970. We work with children, irrespective of their disability or impairment, from birth through to 25 years. Each year we support over 15,000 disabled children, offer over 120 different services and work with about 80 Local Authorities across England.

About The Role
The purpose of this role will be to work with children and young people and their families to provide a warm accepting environment where the physical, emotional, health, social, educational, communication, cultural and spiritual needs can be met. The successful candidate will be providing residential respite care for children and young people with learning and/or physical disabilities.
Hours for this post can include evenings, weekends and holidays.
The successful candidate needs to have experience of working with children/young people or adults with disabilities. It is essential to have an understanding of special educational neds and disabilities. It would be an advantage but is not essential to have a Level 3 NVQ qualification in Working with Children and Young People, or equivalent.
