The Strings Club
If you would love a rewarding career, that works around your family commitments and earns you a great income, then joining The Strings Club could be the amazing opportunity that you’ve been waiting for.
We're looking for proactive, dedicated, friendly people to join them in running their own multi-award-winning music programmes for children 4-11. As one of the UK’s fastest-growing childcare franchises, The Strings Club is not necessarily looking for musical people but those business-minded individuals with a passion for offering nothing less than the best in music education & childcare.
Our ethos is simple. We aim to inspire, nurture and develop children through their Holiday Camps, Term Time Courses, Parties and After-School Clubs. Established in 2012 by violin teacher, entrepreneur and mum, Amy Cunningham, The Strings Club has grown from 6 children at one Holiday Camp to inspiring over 25,000 in 2018.
With our proven, tried and tested model, our successful programmes are the perfect way to gain a work/life balance that YOU are in control of. What’s more, in less than five years, we have shown that a Holiday Camp can make a valuable financial return - for very little start-up costs.
What makes The Strings Club different? Over the past 7 years, The Strings Club have run their own Holiday Camps in six locations enabling them to learn exactly what it takes to reach success.
From winning “Start-Up Business” nominated by The Apprentice’s Karren Brady (2013) to “Scale-Up Business of the Year” at the Federation of Business Awards (2018), founder Amy has created an exclusive Operational Calendar that enables franchise owners to stay on task and to ensure their programmes are as successful as possible.
Whatever your previous work or business background, The Strings Club and their range of franchise packages suit anyone who is highly motivated, dedicated & has a passion for running their own business.

Have the flexibility to determine your own business hours. Most work within school hours. With their Operational Calendar, you will know exactly what you need to do every week to ensure your business is a success. This is the perfect opportunity for anyone who loves running their own business or has a passion for music and childcare but also wants to be in control of their work/life balance.

Best suited to:
The Strings Club are looking for highly motivated individuals who have the passion and drive to run their own business. You do not need to be musical but dedicated to running your own programmes - either “on the ground” yourself as a Course Leader/Manager or operationally by hiring a fantastic team instead.
Name: Edouard Alexandre Wood (DAD)
Family: 2 children aged 6 and 11
How often do you work?
2 to 3 times a week during the term time. 5 days a week during the Holiday Camps.
How does the job fit around your family life?
The organising and work to set up the Strings Club Holiday Camps can be done during the quiet moments. There is a schedule to work to and things can be done as and when they fit in to the family day. Some of it is meeting and greeting, leafleting, interviews and the like and again this can be fitted as it suits the family dynamic.
How much time do you commit?
10 hours a week on average, this includes leafleting meetings etc. but more during the Holiday Camps as you are there 5 days a week.
Where do you carry out your work?
During the term time it is mainly at home on the computer or telephone organizing the marketing and advertising the Holiday Camps. There is some leafletting and a few meetings to tell other parents and schools about our services. During the Holiday Camps it is on site at the venue booked to hold the HC.
Do you need a car?
It will come in useful when the Holiday Camps commence as there is quite a bit of equipment needed to run a week long camp.
Do you get support/training?
The support and training are fantastic. The staff at head office is always there to help, solve and encourage you all the way through the process.
Would you recommend this opportunity to other mums?
If you want to have a job that is rewarding and offers the chance to help educate children in a musical instrument then this is the job for you. The rewards are what you put in. There is nothing like the Strings Club that offers instrumental and musical training during the holidays to 4 -11 year old.
Do you advertise?
Yes we use Facebook, local newspapers, Local Council websites and newsletters, various other platforms for example, Netmums, Twitter, Instagram. We set up free Discovery Days and assemblies at various locations and schools to promote and inform parents and students about the service we provide.
Are there any downsides to the role?
Not that I have encountered so far.
