Jamberry is a company that is realtively new to the UK. It was founded by 3 sisters in the US in 2011, and arrived in the UK in 2016.
Jamberrys focus is pretty nails! We offer a unique range of vinyl nail wraps, that are easy to apply and remove, long lasting, free from many of the harsh chemicals found in other nail products, and stunningly beautiful. As a consultant you would have access to a huge range of these wraps, along with other products like in home gel systems, hand and foot care, and lots more to come!
Consultants have the freedom to sell the Jamberry products in many ways, including in home partys, on line, via facebook and social media, and at events and fairs. The beauty of Jamberry is that you can wear the wraps yourself so are constantly advertising them!
There are two kit options £99 - Focused on what you need to start your business, this starter kit is all about the marketing materials and tools you need from day-1. £200 - Focused on the product, this starter kit gives you the opportunity to try out an assortment of products Jamberry carries.
Thats up to you! There is no minimum and no maximum. You would get as much help and support as you want though if you really want to go for it!
The earnings potential is unlimited. There are no minimums and no maximums. You start at 30% commission from the first wrap that you sell, and that can rise up to 40%! There is also huge earning potential by building your own team as you would also earn commission based on their sales. There are also regular bonuses and incentives on offer (including the chance to earn a trip to Mexico!).
Best suited to:
Anyone who likes pretty nails! We have consultants who are stay at home mums looking to earn a few extra pounds, people in full time jobs doing jamberry as a hobby, and career consultant who make a full time living from selling nail wraps and building their team! You don't need any experience as loads of training and support will be on offer.
Name: Kelly Morrissey
Location: Reading, Berkshire
Family: Married to Mike, and mum to two boys Alfie (9) and Max (2)
How often do you work?
I do most of my work on Facebook, so probably spend half an hour each evening doing posts and responding to messages. In addition to that I try to do 3 or 4 parties or events each month. We do have girls doing a lot less than that though, and lots doing a lot more.
How does the job fit around your family life?
I love Jamberry because its something that I can pick up whenever I have a spare 10 minutes. There is no pressure to sell a set amount (apart from what I set myself!). If I want a quiet month, where I do nothing, thats fine. I do most of my Jamberry work in the evenings when the kids are in bed, and I love going out to do parties, as it gives me some grown up, girly time!
How much time do you commit?
Some days nothing, some days, when I do a party, 2 to 3 hours.
Where do you carry out your work?
I work form home, but the beauty of Jamberry is you can work anywhere. Everything you need to make a sale can fit in your hand bag, so, if you are in the supermarket and the cashier tells you that she likes your nails (I wear my wrap all of the time!), you just whip a sample out of your bag for her! My best market place is actually the school play ground, the other mums love Jamberry!
Do you need a car?
You don't have to have a car as you can run your business entirely on line, however, its useful if you want to go out and do parties and events.
Do you get support/training?
Yes, loads. Its mostly done on line so you can pick and choose when you want to do it. You will also have a sponsor and a team manager who is always on hand for 1 to 1 training and support if you would like it too. There are also occasional meetings and conferences, which are entirely optional, but worth going to as you usually get given loads of lovely gifts!
Would you recommend this opportunity to other mums?
100%. When I came across Jamberry in December 2016 I was not looking for another job or business opportunity, but it is the best thing I ever did. Not only have I got a thriving business that fits around my family, but I have built up an amazing group of friends too. Jamberry is an incredibly friendly and supportive company. We all support each other, and love to see other consultants do well
Do you advertise?
My main advert is my nails! I make sure I wear the wraps all of the time so if anyone comments on them I can give them a sample and a catalogue. We have our own website so people can order at any time and we still get the commission. I also do occasional stalls at school fairs, markets and pamper evenings, which get me extra party bookings and sales.
Are there any downsides to the role?
Its very addictive! When I joined I never intended doing much with it. I just loved the products and wanted the discount. However, 6 months down the line and I have a team of 11 under me and am senior lead consultant! It still fits around my family life though, Im just earning more than I expected which is no bad thing!!
