British Red Cross
The British Red Cross helps people who are vulnerable to crisis, whoever and wherever they are. The Hand, Arm and Shoulder massage service was established in 1959 and helps individuals in stressful situations and times of personal crisis. You'll be trained to offer a range of treatments including hand, arm, neck and shoulder massage, given through clothing. The massage will be either 10 or 20 minutes and can be delivered in a variety of settings alongside other Red Cross services and with the support of a Red Cross Co-ordinator. We are offering you the chance to work with a variety of different people from different walks of life and make a real difference to their lives. It is also a great opportunity to develop your existing skills and to gain new ones.
Best suited to:
You will work as part of a team and will attend regular meetings to give and receive support from other volunteers. You nee to be available to attend a flexible three-day training programme and ongoing skills development and assessment.
