Your work will include supporting and delivering the local running of national campaigns, such as the Great Daffodil Appeal and Swimathon, through relationships built with individuals, groups, associations and companies.

We already have an excellent supporter base across this area and you will be working to maintain and grow this network, securing new support and raising awareness of Marie Curie across the area. This role is mainly home based, with a minimum of one day a week in our York office, and we are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who live in the North Yorkshire (East) area itself.

You'll be fully mobile providing you with the flexibility needed to work in the community to build a successful network of supporters.

Interested candidates should hold their full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle.

35 hours per week on a permanent basis- A Combination of being home based but with one day a week minimum at our office in Elvington, York.

£24000 - £31000 per annum + negotiable depending on experience. In return for your own commitment, we commit to actively developing you and offer a comprehensive Community Fundraising Training Pathway, buddying, mentoring, shadowing and coaching through your individually tailored personal development plan.

Ideally, you'll come to us with some insight into how community fundraising works but this isn't essential. We are looking for someone with strong relationship building skills and whilst you may not have worked in the charity sector before now, you may have all the relevant transferable skills from working in hospitality, customer service roles, event management, marketing, sales, or PR.
