Client Services Manager - Bristol
Posted: 7th Jan 2019 Closing: 7th Apr 2019
Rethink Technology Research
Rethink Technology Research publishes market research in global high tech markets, and wants someone to be the first port of call for our clients, able to explain how our services work, demonstrate our website, and fix admin issues with clients, like lost passwords or changed email addresses. Additionally we need some credit control, some invoicing, accounts preparation and some subscription renewals.
Rethink Technology Research is a ten person company, growing at 30% a year, with offices in Bristol and customers all over the world. The vacancy is at Temple Meads although the current Client Services Manager works from home, and fits it in around her four children. A combination of office and home work is possible.
You must be personable, pick up new ideas quickly and able to write error-free English in emails, which are clear and sensible.
We have no preconceived ideas about this person, they can be a graduate or non-graduate, a University leaver’s age, or a Mum with 4 children and wanting to get back to work. Come and see us and impress us.
Our last Client Services Manager became so comfortable talking to clients that she is moving up to a full sales role. The new person will report to her directly for 6 months, and thereafter report directly to the managing director.
The starting salary is £19,000 with an appropriate bonus based on renewal rates which could add another £1,500 to your annual salary. You don't have to have done lots of this in the past, we will teach you, but you need to throw yourself into it.
Make proactive calls to new clients to demonstrate our products
Make proactive phone calls and send emails, making sure payment comes in for new sales
Monitor renewals and email requests for renewals, and alert sales if customers become uncommunicative.
None except a confident phone voice and clear written communication and a willingness to learn
We hope this can be a 9 to 5 job, but it is important we get the right person and we can be flexible for that person.
Salary is £19,000 base for full time, and if less than this, would be on the same hourly rate. About £1,500 more can be earned for meeting targets.
Best suited to:
Someone who has worked in an office before, who is articulate and numerate, but who likes to work as part of small team, rather than a small cog in a big wheel.
