Location Medical Services is a busy medical services provider based in Shepperton Studios providing medical services to the Film, TV and Events industries.
Due to retirement we are looking for an EXPERIENCED accounts assistant / book keeper. The role will be everything you expect in busy a small business: Generating invoices, chasing payments, entering receipts, bank reconciliation etc. An ideal candidate may be in a position to also take on payroll in the future (not essential).
We use Quickbooks (so experience essential) and due to the complex nature of some of our jobs a large part of the workload is preparing invoices, which will require an understanding of our customers, charges and rates, range of services, - an ability to, sometimes, hunt for (or chase) staff timesheets, client PO's, invoice addresses etc – and skills to liaise with staff or clients to agree overtime etc.
Experience dealing with the Film & TV industry and all its weird ways would be great - but not essential - as long as it is understood that our clients are a bit of a "law unto themselves" and a newcomer to the industry will have to learn a few new things.
We believe we need about 20 hours per week (some flexibility on this would be helpful, we are busier in summer than winter)
To facilitate the information exchange required to get the job done, and the initial familiarisation, we believe that this role will require at least 2 regular days here in the office each week (ideally Tuesday and Thursday). We will not consider outsourced or 100% off site services, sorry. Days and hours can be family friendly but if the days are really short may need to be 3 part days. Other than that, we are open to negotiation on hours and are happy with a “home working” component.
