Debbie Bird is a professional communicator, editor and digital content manager with experience of growing highly successful community platforms, websites and social media presence.
Regularly planning and implementing communications to a wide and varied audience, she is currently working at Whitbread as Communications and Planning Executive for the all Restaurant brands, some of them you may know; Beefeater, Brewers Fayre, Table Table and new brands Cookhouse and Pub and Bar+Block.
Her experience and knowledge has enabled her to provide a balanced, connective and engaging way to get a message across to a varied audience.
In her previous role as Managing Editor she was ambassador for the Babyworld and GLAM Family brands where she regularly contributed to radio and TV features. Often appearing as an expert on BBC Breakfast, BBC News, Channel 5 News and National radio, and represented Babyworld on radio Days sponsored by Lloyds Bank, Child Accident Prevention Trust and POM Bear. Debbie also recorded promotional videos for a baby-focused product launch with Lord Alan Sugar and Tom Pellerau (winner of the Apprentice) and parenting home solutions with Martha Stewart.
babyworld.co.uk and GLAM Family were two of the largest and most prominent parenting websites that had a combined readership of over 300 million unique visits per month. This was the highest ranked family website in the world with over 280 million page visits per month (as recorded by comscore in 2016).
Debbie is also a Director of the Children’s Activities Association and What’s On 4.
