One Parent Families Scotland provides help to all single parent families; mums, dads, young parents and kinship carers. The site is very informative and contains a great deal of useful information.

Gingerbread is the leading and largest charity for lone parents providing help for 1.8 million lone parents and their children throughout England and Wales. The organisation offers advice and an expert and confidential free phone service dealing with a varied range of queries.

Gingerbread works to help to counter the effects of childhood poverty by organising holidays, discount vouchers, outings and events to ensure that children are not excluded from activities and opportunities. Provides the opportunity for children in lone parent families to come together and support for lone parent families through over 200 local self-help groups. Parentline Plus is a national charity that works for, and with, parents.

The organisation know that parents want to do the best they can for their children, but sometimes family life can be challenging and difficult. There is after all, no one right way to parent. In the UK there are over 24 million people who parent - it's not just mums and dads who do it. Families come in all shapes and sizes. Grandparents, stepparents, brothers, sisters, other relatives, friends and foster carers are all involved in raising happy, healthy children.

Parentline Plus works to offer help and support through an innovative range of free, flexible, responsive services - shaped by parents for parents. They have a helpline number which is 0808 800 2222.

OneSpace is an online community and information site for all single mums and dads who are raising children on their own. Their experts can offer confidential advice, guidance and support to single parents. If you are worried about benefits, child maintenance and support or any aspect of family law expert advisers are there to help. OneSpace and its parent organization, the Single Parent Action Network, campaign to make sure that your stories and your questions about single parenting remain at the front of the political agenda.
