Would you like to be part of our friendly team offering support to patients and families living with cancer in the Wessex Region? Volunteer Befrienders are special people offering practical and emotional support to adults, teenagers and children at all stages of their cancer journey. They offer a warm welcome and friendly listening ear to anyone visiting one of our Cancer Support Centre. The Centre provides a safe and supportive place and offers visitors free counselling, complementary therapy, advice, information and support from our team of wonderful volunteer Befrienders.

Our Centres can be found in Bournemouth, Cosham, Chandler’s Ford, Hythe, Newport and Winchester. A new Centre will be opening in Salisbury in 2016!

You can volunteer for one morning or afternoon a week, or give more time if you are able. A Disclosure and Baring Scheme check is required for this volunteer role (formerly called a CRB), at no cost to the volunteer. Full training and support is provided.
