School Hours Early Years Practitioner

We're offering flexible working hours to the right practitioner to join our early years' specialist team. Officreche provides truly flexible childcare – we put the families at the heart of our care and tailor a solution to fit them. We are delighted to extend some of this flexibility to our employees too e.g. offering hours that could fit with the school run (all year round)
Sessions range from 2 hours of childcare every 2 weeks to a full 5 days per week every week - and every option in between! Parents can also work in the office space on the floor above the nursery, enabling quick access to their little ones if required.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Up to 38 hours per week. Shifts between 7:45am and 6:15pm and / or 8:30am to 2:30pm daily (possibly negotiable) To apply for an application pack please email us.
From £7.41 per hour - above minimum wage for age. We're looking for a qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our Brighton team and work with our 0-5 years age group. Applicants must demonstrate a combination of initiative and experience; demonstrate an excellent knowledge and practical understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, health, safety, safeguarding and child protection issues
Best suited to:
Level 2/3 who has been a key person with an interest in provid great care and stimulating activities to all children. You'll enjoy supprting them with welfare skills like feeding, hygiene and toileting as well opportunities to develop their learning. Duties will include carrying out detailed observations, keeping records and planning individuals learning; building good relationships in the team.

How often do you work?
I work every school day. If I need time off or flexible working to fit around kids commitments I can negotiate with my manager - she does the same!

Where do you carry out your work?
At Officreche in Central Brighton - it's sited in a Victorian style house which has large, naturally lit rooms full of exciting and stimulating resources, equipment and materials for the children to access. We also have a well-equipped environment outdoors in our garden which the children enjoy. We are open 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, not bank holidays.
Do you need a car?
No - bus or walking is the way to get in - we are so central in Brighton (Seven Dials) that on street parking is extortionate outside. There is free parking a 15 min walk up Dyke Road
Do you get support/training?
Yes - each staff member goes on at least one course each term
