La Jolie Ronde

Three news stories, three reasons why La Jolie Ronde is on everyone's lips...

La Jolie Ronde was established in 1983 and has developed a fun way for nursery and primary age children to learn French and Spanish. The aim is to give this age group a love and ability for a language at a time when they are most receptive. La Jolie Ronde has over 300 licensees and 100 tutors who teach the la Jolie Ronde programme under license in approximate 1000 centres throughout the UK. The company have recently been hitting the headlines with three fantastic news stories:

La Jolie Ronde

Number 1:

La Jolie Ronde wins Best School Kids Activity in Britain!

The results of the "What's On 4 Schools Kids Awards 2009" have been announced and La Jolie Ronde Languages for Children is among the winners!

The Award Programme asked parents and children across the UK to nominate their favourite after-school and weekend activities. Every activity in the UK had the chance to be nominated and voted for, making the Awards a true representation of how parents and children feel towards what is on offer. La Jolie Ronde came out tops and took the title of Best School Kids Activity in Britain!

Mala Henry La Jolie Ronde's Marketing Co-Ordinator said "We are delighted to win such an Award especially as it's the parents and children who have voted for us. Learning comes easy to very young children therefore it is the ideal time to familiarise them with sounds and patterns of a new language. With La Jolie Ronde the emphasis is on 'fun' and lessons are designed to encourage a positive approach to language learning. The children are therefore more relaxed and better at imitating sounds and pronunciation".

Sheila Sen

Number 2:

French teacher beats over 300 others to win licensee award

Sheila Sen has beaten more than 300 others to take the coveted title of "La Jolie Ronde Licensee of the Year 2008".

Sheila who teaches La Jolie Ronde classes around Surrey, was chosen as she has demonstrated outstanding commitment and dedication to La Jolie Ronde since becoming a licensee in 2005. She has rapidly built up her business; starting with only 6 pupils in her first term, she now teaches almost 100 course pupils and over 50 nursery pupils.

La Jolie Ronde's General Manager Steve Baker said, "Sheila's drive, enthusiasm and of course excellent teaching, make her an extremely worthy winner Sheila has a positive, can-do attitude and a cheerful disposition, always conducting herself in a professional manner especially in relation to running her business and communicating with parents, head teachers and nursery managers," he added.

Number 3:

The Rose report recommends Primary School children learn a language

A major review of the curriculum for England's primary schools suggests that six broad "areas of learning" could replace individual subjects. The report from government adviser Sir Jim Rose wants to create a more flexible, less "overloaded" timetable.

A key area within his findings is foreign language learning provision. Sir Jim Rose recommends that all children aged 7-11 should learn at least one foreign language as part of the new 'Understanding English, communication and languages' area of learning.

This new recommendation offers a fantastic opportunity for specialist language teachers to become integral in delivering this new commitment. Teachers are likely to be in more demand than ever, especially as there is a National shortage of Modern Foreign Language teachers at both Primary and Secondary level. This opens up great potential for La Jolie Ronde to become the course of choice for schools.

Be a success story of your own!

Be your own boss and improve your work-life balance with La Jolie Ronde. Many people from various backgrounds are looking to achieve a better work-life balance perhaps because their family commitments mean it is hard to juggle work and children, or just that they want a new challenge and to work for themselves.

For many than answer has been to become a La Jolie Ronde licensee.

A La Jolie Ronde licensee is a self-employed individual who purchases a license to use the La Jolie Ronde methodology and set up their own business teaching French or Spanish to pre-school and Primary children using the La Jolie Ronde proven structured programme.
