Established in 1966, Tridias was the brainchild of Robin & Charlotte Cooke who after experiencing problems finding stimulating, educational toys decided to embark on a business venture, that would fill the gap. In 1989 their daughter Sophia Coleman, alongside her husband Brain, purchased the company and so the family tradition continues.
The ethos behind Tridias Toys is to promote safe and active play whilst encouraging imaginative thought - the antithesis of video games and TV! With over 2000 toys and games, Tridias is a one-stop shop full of ingenious gift ideas for babies and children up to 14
years old. From traditional wooden toys that parents may have played with as children, to inventive craft ideas, musical instruments, theatrical play, games, puzzles and much, much more. Tridias has something for children of every talent and interest.
Tridias houses a large range of dress-up outfits, themed tableware and party/stocking fillers. Their selection will inspire children to get up and out, to play, to explore, to make and to do.

They enjoyed looking at the different countries and naming the seas and places they knew different people lived - they have an Aunt in Australia and friends who have emigrated to New Zealand.
