How often do you work?
I try to hold 2-3 parties each week.
How does the job fit around your family life?
Completely, I control my diary and decide when and how often I want to hold the parties.
How much time do you commit?
It depends on the number of parties I have booked per week. A party takes about 2 hours so with travelling I allow 3hrs from leaving the house.
Where do you carry out your work?
In people's homes and nursery schools.
How much space do you need for your kit/stock?
I carry all my kit and stationary in one holdall.
Do you need a car?
I own a car and find it helps me get to and from parties more easily.
Do you advertise?
I am responsible for putting up posters in local nurseries and post offices.
How did you hear about the job?
I was asked to come on board by a friend and old colleague of mine.
Do you get support/training?
At the beginning there is initial training which really helps, especially if you have never done anything like this before. There are also regular monthly meetings that have some form of support and additional training included. They help you focus developing your business and yourself.
Are there any downsides to the role?
I haven't come across any so far. It is sometimes hard to book parties but with the great training and support I received I soon built up the confidence to approach new mums and introduce them to Glow-Inc.
Would you recommend this opportunity to other Mums?
Definitely. It is a fantastic way to meet people and contribute to the family budget in a stress free environment. I have gained a lot of confidence and enjoy what I do.
