How does the job fit around your family life?
Really easily, most assignments are in the day when the boys are at School
How much time do you commit?
I live about a 20 minute bus ride from Nottingham City centre, most assignments are in town so for each one it takes me about an hour and a half to do the visit and then about half an hour to fill in the report
Where do you carry out your work?
Usually the visits are in town at shops or cafes
Do you need a car?
I can't drive so I use the bus, I have to turn down assignments at Petrol Stations and other places I can't get to
Do you enjoy it?
Yes - its really good. I enjoy getting paid to shop! In all seriousness, it is an easy way to make a little bit of extra money without interfering in my family life
What job did you do previously?
I am a qualified hairdresser
How did you hear about the job? From my mother-in-law
Do you get support/training? When you start you get lots of information about staying incognito on assignments, but there isn't a huge amount after that. In terms of support I haven't ever really looked for any from the company, so I am not sure
Are there any downsides to the role? Its just sometimes annoying when I get offered a visit I can't do because I don't drive. Also, when you join you have to carry out a trial assignment which is unpaid and purely so they can assess your ability. Its a little bit of a hassle when you don't know if you are definitely going to get work. Luckily for me its been worth it!
Would you recommend this opportunity to other Mums? Yes - its an easy way to earn a little bit of extra cash without commiting to something every week and fits really well around my boys
