How often do you work?
On average I run about 2 workshops a week, although I increase this if there is demand. During the School holidays I do not work at all.
How does the job fit around your family life?
It is good - I either do daytime workshops during School hours or evening workshops when my husband is home to look after the children.
How much time do you commit?
Each workshop takes about 2 hours.
Where do you carry out your work?
Either at my house or at other people's houses.
How much space do you have?
My kit is in several bags/boxes usually. Also, on the day I have to carry ingredients for the recipes I am going to demonstrate.
Do you need a car?
Yes - I think its essential really as some of the items are fairly heavy.
Do you advertise?
Not really - word of mouth really keeps my business ticking over.
How did you hear about the job?
I attended a workshop at a friends house and thought the products were fantastic!
Do you get support/training?
Yes I get on-going support and training from my direct manager. She is brilliant and always available either by phone or email to give me help and advice.
Are there any downsides to the role?
No
Would you recommend this opportunity to other Mums?
Its great fun - I actually really enjoy doing the workshops. I love earning extra cash and having the chance to be someone other than 'Mum'!
