How often do you work?
As and when it suits me - varying from as little as one night a week and more if I choose. I do though always try and do at least 4 parties a month because that way I usually earn £200 or more.

How does the job fit around your family life?
It's great! I can still pick up and drop off from school. I am in control - so I make my business fit around my family life.

How much time do you commit?
As much as needed, sometimes as little as 4 hrs a week. Obviously the more you put into it the more parties you book and the more you earn. I love meeting new people and sharing what I do.

Where do you carry out your work?
From home and at other people's homes doing parties during the day (coffee mornings) or in the evening. I sometimes do charity events and fairs too, but parties bring the best results.

How much space do you have for your kit/stock?
2 shelves in the cellar. We are fortunate that jewellery doesn't take up much space and there is really no need to hold stock. We have a great ordering system.

Do you need a car?
Yes - it does help, but I do know a Consultant who travels to and from her parties by taxi or public transport.

Do you advertise?
Yes, the company produces some really great posters that we can display in the gym, for example and I always wear a different piece of jewellery every day, that's a great advert in itself!

How did you hear about the job?
I was recommended to it by another consultant whilst at a shopping event. I loved the jewelry and it was so easy to sell. Everyone was very relaxed at the party which I felt good about and they had a great time so I decided to join.

Do you get support/training?
Yes! Once a month I attend my Leaders Unit Meeting in her house, it's great because I get to meet all the other Consultants and we share tips and ideas. Also the company put on some really good training days and product launches.

Are there any downsides to the role?
This is difficult...no! Only having to go out in the rain.

Would you recommend this opportunity to other Mums?
Absolutely! If you want a flexible job that fits around you and your family, that's enjoyable, rewarding, and you love stylish jewellery then Jo Magdalena is for you.
