Name: Kate
Location: Croydon
Family: Dylan (10) Connor (8) Gabriel (4)

How often do you work?
I run my Oriflame business as a Catalogue business - I don't go out and run parties or anything. I simply take the catalogues with me to School and give them to Mum's at the gates, I take them to my neighbours and to my sister who has a toddler - she gives them out at playgroup. I spend about half an hour once a week in the evening doing all my ordering

How does the job fit around your family life?
Really easily, most of it just fits in with what I am doing everyday. I do my ordering on the night my husband plays 5-a-side football usually

How much time do you commit?
About 2 hours a week I guess, although it doesn't feel like that much

Where do you carry out your work?
At School, Neighbours and at Playgroup

How much space do you have?
I only really have the catalogues and some papers to have space for - they go in a special bag in my wardrobe

Do you need a car?
No - I can't drive and it doesn't matter

Do you advertise?
Not really. I have tried taking catalogues into my hairdressers and doctors - I did it last Christmas and it was good, but I would think it was a bit of a hassle to do all the time. I might do it again for this Christmas

How did you hear about the job?
From my Mother in Law who used to do it when my husband was little!

Do you get support/training?
I email my Manager if I need some advice about something in particular. There is regular training available and team meetings. I tend not to go to them really as they are a bit far from my house...but I can keep up with things on email

Are there any downsides to the role?
No

Would you recommend this opportunity to other Mums?
Its great and is a good way of making extra money without having to do a huge amount of work. I did look at the idea of running parties as I know that is the best way to make lots of money with the company...but I just don't think I've got the time at the moment. Starting with catalogues is a great way to begin
