Mum's View

Name: Rebecca
Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Family: Husband Rob, Thomas 7 and Charlotte 4

How often do you work?
I work a few days a week for a few hours on Herbalife - but that totally depends what else I've got on. I am also on various charity committees so the best thing abut this business is that I can choose what hours and which days I want to spend time on it. No-one dictates to me when I work - I am my own boss.

How does the job fit around your family life?
It's been perfect for me - especially as Charlotte went to school full time in September, I knew I wanted to do something but didn't want to go back to an office with designated days and hours. With this, I fit Herbalife and my other commitments in between the school runs. It's perfect! I also sometimes do a few hours in the evening once the children are in bed if need be.

How much time do you commit?
About 8-10 hours a week.

Where do you carry out your work?
From home, on my mobile, at the gym - everywhere and anywhere! In fact many of my customers are the other Mum’s at school, because they have seen me lose weight, look great & have far more energy than I used to - so I often do business in the school car park!

How much space do you need for your kit/stock?
I have a cupboard in the garage to keep the stock, but also I often get the products drop shipped from the warehouse so I don't need to carry loads of stock.

Do you need a car?
I do because I live in the country, but you could manage with out for the business. It would be easier to have one though.

Do you advertise?
Yes I have my own website www.totallynewme.co.uk and through the 60 minute money system there are so many suggested tried and tested methods to advertise. Also I am a walking talking advert because the Herbalife products have helped my lose my tummy that I have been struggling to lose since Charlotte was born - it had totally vanished within a month and I'm back to the weight I was when I got married. I can't believe it - and my husband is amazed and delighted - in fact he also used the products and has lost a stone himself - so many of his friends are now my customers too!

How did you hear about the job?
My sister also is a distributor and suggested it would be perfect for me to fit in around the kids. She wasn't wrong and in fact our eldest sister who has 3 boys has seen how great it is for us and is also going to become a distributor this month.

Do you get support/training?
Absolutely - full training and mentoring which has been invaluable. There are so many different methods of training - one on one on the phone, through the 60 minute money training website, a weekend training course when I started, various evening phone conference calls and phone messages left by other successful people on our shared 60 minute money system which I listen to when the kids have gone to bed. We have a very strong support network and everyone in the business is so helpful and wants everyone to succeed - so there is always someone to ask even if my personal mentor isn't there 24 hours a day when I need her!

Are there any downsides to the role?
No, this is exactly what I had been looking for. Something to fit in around my kids and other charity work and bring in some extra cash into the household. My husband is also delighted as it has given me a new lease of life and I'm helping with the bills!

Would you recommend this opportunity to other Mums?
Definitely - it is so flexible. I haven't looked back and just choose how much work I do per day/per week. I don't work in the school holidays as I want to be with my children - what other part time job would allow that?!!
