How often do you work?
Whenever I want to, this usually means I do around 1 to 2 parties a week plus an hours admin but I can do up to 3 or 4 parties a week during busy periods.
How does the job fit around your family life?
Very easily as you decide how much work you want to do and when you want to work it is extremely flexible
How much time do you commit?
Currently I work around 4 to 6 parties a month plus admin time but I'm free to increase or decrease this as and when I want to.
Where do you carry out your work?
Parties are held at the hostesses house, but I also attend School fairs, Toddlers groups, Pre-Schools and local fairs. My admin work is all done from home.
How much space do you need?
Very little just a box for your kit! All orders are usually dispatched directly to the party hostess, unless you specify otherwise, so you do not need storage space.
Do you need a car?
Unless you are only doing very local things then a car is useful as you will need to take your box of books to each party/event.
Do you advertise?
Yes but only on a local basis, most of our parties are booked through other parties/events or with the people I meet day to day taking my son to his
How did you hear about the job?
I saw the Mini IQ website, fell in love with the products and that was that!
Do you get support/training?
The one thing I have been really impressed with is the amount of support on offer for Mini IQ Associates. Since day one I have been made to feel a valued member of a team and my Team Leader is always there for a bit of encouragement, the answer to a question or to congratulate me on a job well done. I could not fault the support I've had. Along with the formal training days from Mini IQ head office my team also has additional training, regular team meetings and get togethers. My Team Leader also calls or emails me at least once a week to see how I'm doing, if I need any help or advice. We also do quite a few joint events helping each other to reach a much larger audience.
Are there any downsides to the role?
It's very busy at peak times and you can find it hard to turn down the work!
Would you recommend this opportunity to other Mums?
Definitely, the is no pressure to reach any targets so you can do as much or as little as you wish, perfect for the busy Mum! You are also totally supported by your team and there is always someone around to help you out with any problems you have, and help you to grow your business to its full potential.
