The opportunity to run music classes for children.
How often do you work?
9.30 to 1.00 and Thursday 9.15 to 2.30, 12 classes, term time only.
How does the job fit around your family life?
Great, I only work when the children are at school, so it doesn’t affect their lives at all, and they all think it is great fun, when I let them have a go.
How much roughly did the franchise cost you?
£100 - plus on-going license fee of £30 (ex.VAT) per calendar month.
What did that investment buy?
It bought my initial training - which takes place remotely via DVD - which is great as training doesn't involve any travel away from your family. You are assessed after your training period via a questionnaire which ensures you have taken it all in! You are also buying the license to operate Music with Mummy in your local area.
Do you get support/training?
Yes, you get lots of support and training.
Are there on-going costs?
The license fee is £30 a month..apart from that the only real on-going costs are paying for venues and any advertising I choose to do.
Do you advertise?
Yes - all over.
What is the best thing about Music with Mummy for you?
I enjoy interacting with the children and parents and I love the fact that the job is so flexible and enables me to work doing something fulfilling without compromising any aspect of looking after my children myself.
Are there any downsides to the job?
The classes and the children are so much FUN it is sometimes hard remembering it is a business when dealing with parents, paperwork etc.
Would you recommend this franchise opportunity to other Mums?
Yes, because it fits around the family, whatever their ages, and I have done to a friend who is now an Agent and also loves it.
