Hi I'm Sam, owner of www.whatson4.com.  Thanks for visiting www.mumandworking.co.uk and I hope that you have found some useful advice and information aswell as some interesting jobs that will fit around you and your family

www.mumandworking.co.uk is the latest of our 4 websites.  We started from humble beginnings.  I gained a lot of pleasure from taking my baby to various classes and activities but found it very tricky to find out what was going on in my local area. It took ages to get a proper idea of what was on.

So I decided that parents like me needed a single website that would have everything that was available for the under 5s.  Using my previous experience I came up with the design for www.whatson4littleones.co.uk!

I'm proud to tell you that WO4LO has now grown to over 12,000 activities across the whole of the UK since our launch in March 2006.  

We've won 3 awards and 96% of our visitors would recommend to a friend!

As my own little girl grew older I realised that there was as much a need to find activities for primary school aged children as there was for babies and toddlers.  And so www.whatson4schoolkids.co.uk was created.  And now we also have www.whatson4kidsparties.co.uk for everything you need for a great party for your children!


Our latest edition is www.mumandworking.co.uk.  I founded my company from a need for a flexible career and it's now fantastic that we can promote other family-friendly companies through www.mumandworking.co.uk. Joslyn Bellamy launched mumandworking in 2006 and I hope to build on her wonderful work.

But it's not just me here!  I'm lucky enough to work with a small team of amazing Mums who all work from home around their families.   Between us we have more than 20 children, from babies to teens! 

Although I've done everything there is to do across the websites I now focus on Marketing and PR plus work with our lovely Toby of www.trsdesign.com to keep all the sites working properly and keep them improving.  Who does everything else, find out here!

Alice was 18 months when I launched WO4LO and, as she has grown, I've used www.whatson4littleones.co.uk myself many times to find new classes, and now she's a bit older I use www.whatson4schoolkids.co.uk and have just planned her 5th birthday using www.whatson4kidsparties.co.uk.

This is Zena >>>> who joined us in 2006 and now is our Key Account Manager.  Zena lives in Kent and has two children, Beth aged 11 and Ben aged 8.  Beth is our Junior Editor on www.whatson4schoolkids.co.uk running our Kids Only page!

This is Mel <<<< who joined us in January 2009 and is now our Sales Team Manager.  Mel lives in Hampshire and has three children, Alisha is 8, Eloise is 4 and Leila is 2.
